Add Camera

Click the Add Camera button to open a dialog where you will select the Locations. You can search and auto connect to cameras on your network or manually connect to your cameras using an IP address (RTSP URL). You will need the Username and Password of the cameras to connect them.

Search Camera

To search for cameras, select the Location and click the Search Camera button.

For this feature to work, the cameras/NVRs and our gateway must be co-located on the same local network subnet.

Manual Connect

To manually connect your cameras, follow the above steps and select the Add Camera button. You require the RTSP URL.

The Real-Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) stream URL is the link App Signal uses to communicate with your camera and obtain the stream footage for data processing. Most IP cameras and Digital/Network Video Recorders (DVR/NVR) support RTSP streaming. To verify if your existing setup is RTSP-supported, please look for the keyword “RTSP“ in the camera’s technical specification or contact your security service provider.

To get the RTSP stream URL from your camera, please make sure that your camera is connected to the internet, RTSP is supported by your camera/DVR/NVR, and that the RTSP port on your camera/DVR/NVR is open. To find your Camera Connection URL, check out the iSpy website.
