What is an interest zone?

An interest zone is a “user-defined area in the camera vision that Edge Signal will perform analytics on." Creating interest zones allows you to compare your zone performance against various indicators.

Here are some guidelines and tips on how to draw interest zones effectively.

It is important to include:

• Entrance Door: This will define footfall

• Service Desk: Zone where the cashier is located

• Service Wait Zone: This allows for the measurement of customer experience.

• Individuals in interest zones: When individuals enter interest zones, they are marked by a red dot positioned between their feet. Use this as a reference point when placing zones to ensure accurate data capture.
